RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 5 days per week

• Call rotation required with minimum 1 day per week on-call

• Weekend rotation every 6-7 weeks (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

• 2+ years of nursing experience required

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS

• Experience required in general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma

• Provide care to post-anesthesia care patients following ASPAN standards

• Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, and other personnel

• Care for pre-op patients and recovery patients in 6-bed unit

• Handle approximately 250-300 procedures monthly

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment for safe patient care

• Delegate patient care priorities and provide supervision of assigned personnel

• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education

• Follow state Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policies and procedures

This healthcare facility is a 99-bed medical center that provides comprehensive surgical services including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma care. The facility maintains a 6-bed post-anesthesia care unit that handles a significant volume of procedures monthly, emphasizing quality patient care and safety standards in accordance with professional nursing guidelines and regulations.
