Mids, 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM; floating and call required. Call requirement of 2 hours prior to shift start.

The Registered Nurse will hold shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department. The position requires maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities, and providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor side effects proficiently.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Understand and adhere to safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.

• 2+ years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
• ENPC and NRP certifications preferred.
• New Mexico fingerprints are required for all travelers.
