Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring NM or compact licensure and at least two years of recent Med/Surg experience.

• Work in a medical-surgical inpatient unit, with occasional floating to rehab
• Night shifts from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Call and floating required
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if requested in advance
• Uses Med Host EMR system
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to diverse Med/Surg inpatients
• May float between Med/Surg and Rehab units as needed
• Any color scrubs may be worn
• RTO requests must be under one week
• First time travelers are accepted
• Holiday coverage requirements may apply

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Minimum of two years’ recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• No certifications may expire within 30 days of start date
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• No prior permanent employment at any CHS facility within the last two years
• Fingerprints required for all travelers in NM
• Must not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
