The Lease Operator I is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance preparation of wells, processing units, and associated facilities. The role focuses on oil, gas, and water separation operations, as well as the operation of major utilities. Candidates will apply operating procedures, tools, work‑permitting protocols, and training to ensure optimal facility performance. Experience with new facility startup and operations is highly desirable.

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of co‑workers; follow and enforce all safety rules.
• Serve as the primary operations contact for assigned facilities; understand process flow, basic unit chemistry, major line‑ups, and all unit safety equipment.
• Monitor and inspect equipment and the work area using vision, hearing, smell, and touch to ensure proper operation.
• Issue Safe Work Permits, evaluating current operating conditions and associated chemical, personnel, and process safety risks.
• Perform gas testing to confirm safety for maintenance activities.
• Conduct process monitoring: gauge tanks, meter readings, data recording, product sampling, differential pressures, chemical injection rates, leak checks, temperature and pressure checks, flow rates, and vibration monitoring.
• Perform visual maintenance and adjust process parameters to maintain product specifications within optimal operating windows.
• Maintain company vehicles and coordinate oil sales and water hauling as required.
• Maintain accurate electronic or paper gauge sheets; document production changes and reasons.
• Verify control valve positions and perform basic equipment maintenance, including lubrication, water addition, filter replacement, valve packing adjustments, clearing equipment, and steam trap maintenance.
• Communicate with Production Foreman regarding process conditions and any operational changes.
• Execute winterization and summarization procedures for maximum equipment efficiency.
• Monitor field equipment with electronic test devices and computer systems.
• Inspect safety equipment, including valves, fire extinguishers, hoses, and breathing apparatus.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for assigned operations.
• Adhere to environmental policies and procedures to minimize impacts such as emissions or spills.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance, ability to work independently when needed, and support team objectives.

• High School diploma required.
• Previous experience in a closely related operations role preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts and be available for on‑call situations.
• Capability to interact effectively in a multicultural work environment.
• Knowledge of maintaining, operating, and repairing surface equipment for oil and gas production.
• Proficiency with computers and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Physically able to lift over 50 lbs and climb ladders or stairways.
• Ability to safely use Self‑Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and other safety detectors and equipment.

Pay: $34/per hour
