Position:
Mine Surface Operator C (7)
This role involves operating equipment within the refinery line, training and assisting operators, and performing related tasks.
What you’ll do:Control equipment and process feed streams to maximize product quality with minimal loss.Calculate process requirements and record data from various sources.Inspect equipment for proper mechanical and process operation, correct problems, and maintain maximum plant efficiency.Communicate and coordinate activities with co-workers and supervisors.Work independently as a self-starter.Identify and correct problems, demonstrating initiative, leadership, and teamwork skills.Learn all process circuits, including PLC-HMI operating control programs.Read, write, and understand basic mathematics; some knowledge of chemistry is desirable.Plan, schedule, and exercise independent judgment and decision-making.Possess a valid driver’s license.What you’ll need:High School diploma or GED certificate.Recent industrial operating experience preferred.Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, bending, walking, and climbing.Proven ability to manage risk and hazards in a mine environment.Commitment to safety, including wearing PPE and following safety rules.Ability to encourage safety compliance among team members.High regard for safety demonstrated through work record.Participation in Safe-Production Activities.Physical ability to lift 0-25 lbs occasionally, work at heights, distinguish colors, hear, read, write, and see with or without correction, and use fine motor skills.Ability to wear a respirator and work rotating shifts/overtime, including 12-hour shifts.Authorization to work in the United States.About the company Notice
