Day Shift (Travel) must live 50 miles outside of Carlsbad, NM

Salary Weekly

Travel Med Surg RN
Start: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 6:30a-7p, floating & call required

Experience
: 2+ years’ experience required; BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS preferred

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.

• Current RN license and BLS certification required.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry data.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Proven ability to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives.
• Ability to mentor and train new nursing staff.
