Overview
Perform a wide range of patrol duties, as assigned, to enforce various laws and ordinances, and to protect the general public’s constitutional rights, as provided for under county, state, tribal and federal laws. Work from rotating shift patrol assignments, to operate a patrol vehicle in a designated area of the county, with full responsibility for proper personal conduct and enhancement of the County’s police image, while carrying out the duties of law enforcement being ever mindful of the constitutional rights of the citizenry, both on and off duty.
Employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job related meetings both in and out of town, and perform all other duties as assigned.
- Perform patrol duties to enforce laws and ordinances and protect the public’s constitutional rights.
- Operate a patrol vehicle in a designated area of the county.
- Maintain proper personal conduct and uphold the County’s police image.
- Work with minimal supervision and be mindful of citizens’ constitutional rights on and off duty.
- Work rotating shift assignments and may work irregular hours and attend job-related meetings.
- Copy of Police Certification with original certification date.
- Driving record dated within the last 30 days.
- Waiver: printed, completed, and uploaded notarized.
- Veterans' Form: printed, completed, and uploaded.
- Personal Integrity Questionnaire (PIQ): print, complete, and submit with the application.

Starting Hiring Range: $25.58 PER HOUR DOE
