Lead Project Scheduler is essential for ensuring that complex projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with full alignment across all stakeholders. As projects grow in scale, regulatory requirements, and inter‑disciplinary coordination, the need for a highly skilled scheduling leader becomes critical. This role provides strategic oversight, technical expertise, and organizational stability that directly impacts project success.
Education and ExperienceMinimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years of scheduling experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- PMI Scheduling Professional (SP) qualification or equivalent; PMI, AACE

: 9/80 professional work schedule - Travel Required
: 10% of the time or less as required - Security Clearance Requirement
: CAA Access and a L or Q level security clearance. - Emergency Response Requirements

Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on‑call (24/7) during your designated team duty week. - Work Environment

Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
1. Ensures Schedule Integrity Across All Phases
- Develops, maintains, and integrates detailed schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Applies advanced scheduling methodologies (e.g., critical path, resource loading, risk modeling) to maintain realistic and achievable timelines.
- Identifies schedule conflicts early and provides actionable mitigation strategies.
2. Improves Predictability and Reduces Project Risk
- Conducts schedule risk analyses to forecast potential delays and quantify impacts.
- Provides early warning indicators that help leadership make informed decisions.
- Reduces the likelihood of cost overruns, claims, and rework by maintaining disciplined schedule control.
3. Provides Leadership and Standardization
- Establishes scheduling standards, templates, and best practices across the project or organization.
- Mentors junior schedulers and ensures consistency in schedule development and reporting.
- Serves as the primary scheduling authority for internal teams, contractors, and external partners.
4. Enhances Communication and Stakeholder Alignment
- Translates complex schedule data into clear, actionable insights for executives, project managers, and field teams
- Facilitates schedule review meetings, progress updates, and scenario planning sessions.
- Ensures all stakeholders operate from a single source of truth.
5. Supports Strategic Decision‑Making
- Provides “what‑if” analyses to evaluate alternative execution strategies.
- Helps leadership optimize resource allocation, sequencing, and contingency planning.
- Strengthens the organization’s ability to meet contractual obligations and performance metrics.
6. Drives Efficiency and Cost Savings
- Improves coordination between disciplines, reducing idle time and bottlenecks.
- Enables more accurate forecasting of labor, equipment, and material needs.
- Minimizes schedule‑related claims and disputes by maintaining transparent, defensible schedules.
