We are seeking a Senior SCADA & Automation Engineer to support large-scale energy infrastructure projects within the oil & gas sector. This role will play a key part in SCADA system development, control system integration, and technical oversight for substation and power system designs on a high-visibility project launching in early 2026 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and commission SCADA systems and associated control equipment
- Integrate SCADA functionality into substation and power system designs in collaboration with electrical and power systems teams
- Design and implement network architectures, including software-defined networks and time synchronization solutions (IRIG)
- Configure and support SEL relays, RTACs, GOOSE messaging, and HMI platforms (e.g., Zenon)
- Commission and test control circuits, automation systems, and substation equipment
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, reports, and compliance records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of SCADA and automation experience
- Strong background in substation and power systems, including relays, wiring, commissioning, and P&C schematics
- Experience with SEL equipment, RTACs, GOOSE messaging, Zenon HMI, IEC 61131 programming, and DNP protocols
- Willingness and ability to travel to New Mexico for extended site visits
