Position Summary
Southeast New Mexico College is seeking applications for Adjunct Instructors in Linguistics. Accepted candidates will teach undergraduate Linguistics courses based on departmental needs.
Required QualificationsMaster’s degree in Linguistics or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Linguistics, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience as approved by the Human Resources Department.
Additional InformationAdjunct faculty positions are part-time and temporary, filled on a semester-by-semester basis depending on enrollment and program needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Teach assigned Linguistics courses in accordance with approved syllabi and learning outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver instruction using appropriate and engaging instructional strategies.
- Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Communicate regularly with students and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Comply with college policies, procedures, and academic standards.
- Participate in required training and departmental meetings, as applicable.
