Qualifications

Required:

Master’s degree in Education or Master’s degree in a closely related field of study with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Education, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience as approved by the Human Resources Department.

Additional Information:
Adjunct faculty positions are part-time and temporary, filled on a semester-by-semester basis depending on enrollment and program needs.

Position Summary

Southeast New Mexico College is seeking applications for adjunct instructors in Education. Accepted candidates will teach undergraduate education courses based on departmental needs.

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering curriculum, providing effective instruction, and assessing student learning in alignment with course outcomes and college standards. Courses may be offered in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned education courses in accordance with approved syllabi and learning outcomes
  • Prepare and deliver instruction using appropriate and engaging instructional strategies
  • Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
  • Communicate regularly with students and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Comply with college policies, procedures, and academic standards
  • Participate in required training and departmental meetings, as applicable
