Overview
Be part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste. Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Administrative Assistant and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development and publishing of departmental correspondence and documents.
- Proofread and develop internal and external presentations.
- Serve as the departmental Training Coordinator.
- Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings, and process expense reimbursements.
- Manage the assignment of administrative duties through the department.
- Manage the department’s records as the Records Coordinator.
- Serve as the Office Warden for the department.
- Support other programs and personnel within the IRM department and complete other duties as assigned.
- Interact professionally with multiple levels of management, employees, and job applicants, exercising good judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all matters.
- Associate’s degree with two (2) years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, or
- High School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of experience as an Administrative Assistant.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances.
