Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • 1 year experience as a restaurant cook
  • High school graduate
  • Food Handler’s Card
  • Strong written and verbal English communication with guests, management and coworkers
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cooking techniques for restaurant menu items
  • Comprehensive knowledge of menu and special items, including preparation methods, timing, ingredients, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, temperature, garnish, and presentation.
  • Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of food serving and preparation equipment
  • Ability to comprehend food orders
Essential Job Functions
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Prepare necessary food items for meal periods and next service
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas
  • Cook for scheduled meal period
  • Follow supervisor’s instructions
  • Alert Chef or Sous Chef of any deficiencies in food items
  • Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities
