Guest Service Associate; GSA

Overview

Job Purpose Summary Interacts with Guests and maintains cleanliness in support of a productive and profitable restaurant, including greeting the Guest, taking the order, putting the order out quickly, keeping the restaurant clean, and restocking the restaurant. Is personally accountable for following the C.O.R.E 5.

• Interact with Guests concerning their food orders and needs, and greet Guests with a proper greeting.
• Be knowledgeable about all menu items.
• Create a positive energy by maintaining a positive attitude and approach to Guest problems and opportunities.
• Keep the restaurant clean, including dining room, patio, and restrooms as needed and/or directed by Management; take out the trash as needed.
• Maintain personal hygiene as prescribed by law and Rubio’s Dress Code standards.
• Stock/Restock the dining room facilities and cashier-area equipment and supplies as needed.
• Ensure safe and accurate money handling; maintain cash variance within allowable limits and count money accurately per Rubio’s policies.
• Follow all Company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Complete all required training checklists and assist in training new GSA’s by ensuring proper training and use of checklists.

• May perform similar and extra tasks as required by Management, including occasional cooking and cross training.

• Education: No specific education is required.
• Experience: Some restaurant or retail experience is preferred.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of aspects of the restaurant industry.

• Other: Individual must have reliable transportation to arrive at work on time.
