Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven individual to join the Neurology Research team.

Responsibilities

The person in this role will carry out in vivo procedures that support ongoing preclinical programs. Key responsibilities include handling rodents, administering systemic dosing, performing CNS-targeted surgical procedures (such as ICVB and intrathecal injections), monitoring animals after surgery, and conducting necropsies. The role also involves accurately identifying and dissecting various CNS regions in mice and rats, as well as collecting both CNS and peripheral tissues for subsequent molecular and histological analysis.

In addition, the individual will maintain detailed and organized records of all procedures, observations, and sample inventories to support reliable data generation within a fast-paced and collaborative research environment.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences; a background in Neuroscience is advantageous.
  • At least 3–5 years of professional research experience in either an academic laboratory or an industry setting.
  • Required:

    strong experience with rodent handling, tissue collection, and performing small animal surgical procedures such as ICVB and intrathecal injections.
  • Preferred: familiarity with a range of laboratory methods, including RNA extraction and qPCR, immunocytochemistry, and analytical tools such as confocal microscopy and image analysis.
  • Strong skills in communication, presentations, teamwork, time management, laboratory documentation, and overall organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain productivity in a demanding, fast-moving research environment.

Salary: $28-32/hour
