We are seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician II to support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high-speed production equipment. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and supporting a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
Position OverviewThe Equipment Maintenance Technician II performs preventive and emergency maintenance on production equipment, supports process improvements, and ensures accurate documentation related to assigned equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain personal and workplace safety at all times
- Troubleshoot mechanical, low voltage, and sensor-related issues
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Respond to production trouble calls, including equipment set-up and line clearance
- Support documentation including validations, EINs, and PM records
- Monitor and document internal alarms from the Process Alarm System
- Follow established business and compliance policies
This position operates within a manufacturing, laboratory, or warehouse setting. The environment may include exposure to viral and bacterial hazards, chemicals, and potentially infectious materials. Flexible work hours may be required to meet project deadlines. Technicians may also operate production equipment to gain operational knowledge and provide production support when needed.
Physical Requirements- Ability to walk, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and crawl
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per day
- Use of required Personal Protective Equipment
- Vision correctable with standard lenses
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- 1–3 years of troubleshooting experience with process controls, sensors, and servomotors
- Understanding of electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Basic electro-mechanical skills
- Strong problem-solving and safety decision‑making skills
- Basic computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, and maintenance software
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience supporting engineering projects
- Associate degree or trade certification
- Automation equipment experience
- GMP manufacturing environment experience
- Knowledge of QSR/ISO 9001
- Basic understanding of high voltage and electrical safety
