GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking experienced, motivated, and dependable individuals to join our team of aviation professionals. As a Station Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate both customer service and ramp operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient station performance. This role combines hands‑on operational leadership with supervisory accountability across all assigned airline services.

Position Overview

The Station Supervisor serves as a key operational leader responsible for supervising both above-the-wing customer service functions and below-the-wing ramp operations. You will lead front-line teams, coordinate staffing, and ensure that all airline services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, airline contracts, and regulatory requirements.

This role requires strong leadership, sound decision‑making, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment. The Station Supervisor is accountable for safety, service standards, operational execution, employee performance, and coordination with airline partners and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Supervisory & Operational Leadership
  • Lead, direct, and supervise customer service agents, ramp agents, and related personnel
  • Establish and manage shift assignments for full‑time and part‑time employees
  • Determine manpower requirements and adjust staffing to meet operational needs
  • Ensure crews are properly briefed before flights on assignments, safety procedures, and operational expectations
  • Enforce attendance and punctuality standards
  • Administer disciplinary actions in a fair, timely, and consistent manner
  • Perform supervisory duties within strict time constraints and high‑pressure environments
Customer Service Operations
  • Coordinate with assigned airline carriers to ensure passenger services, baggage handling, and cargo operations meet carrier requirements
  • Ensure high service standards are maintained for passenger‑facing operations
  • Support accurate processing of airline documentation and customer service procedures
Ramp & Ground Operations
  • Monitor and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all ground support equipment (GSE)
  • Report functional or mechanical discrepancies related to ground equipment
  • Ensure ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for upcoming flights
  • Guide and coordinate aircraft ground handling to support on‑time operations
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance instructions, loading manifests, hazardous materials labels, and baggage routing tags
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and airline regulations
General Duties
  • Coordinate activities with other supervisors and managers across departments
  • Maintain clear communication with station leadership regarding operational issues
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and operational standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Previous airline, ramp, or aviation operations experience required
  • Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience in operational planning, workforce management, and resource allocation
  • Working knowledge of ground support equipment and basic GSE maintenance issues
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand the English language fluently
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic time‑keeping systems
