LEGOLAND CA Rides Engineering Technician

Merlin Entertainments is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Technical Services Department. The role plays a critical part in ensuring rides and attractions operate safely and smoothly for our guests.

• Work with electrical, PLC, and VFD drives, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
• Operate hoists, lifting devices, powered carts, and man lifts. Perform machine tools such as drill press, lathe, mill, power saw, grinder, drills, hydraulic press, torque wrenches, micrometers, and go/no-go gauges.
• Maintain internal compliance with maintenance, safety, and security procedures following ASTM, NEC, state and local electrical codes, and loss prevention guidelines. Record maintenance activities in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Keep ride equipment and work areas clean, neat, and orderly. Keep tools, machines, and all other company equipment in clean and good working order.
• Stand, walk, sit, push, pull, climb, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, drag, handle, grasp, grapple, bend, twist, feel, communicate, see, and hear for extended periods, lifting up to 70 lbs with uneven weight distribution.
• Perform rotating schedule including weekends, early mornings, late nights, days, holidays, and overtime to meet resort operations.

• Strong knowledge of electrical, PLC, VFD drives, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
• Experience operating hoists, lifting devices, powered carts, and man lifts.
• Proficiency with machine tools such as drill press, lathe, mill, power saw, grinder, and related equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs, stand for long periods, hear in noisy environments (85 dB).
• Availability for a rotating schedule with overtime.

• Base pay: $33.00 per hour (actual pay based on skills and experience).
