We are a large nationwide full‑service defense firm seeking a dynamic, detail‑oriented Associate Attorney with an active California and Arizona license to join our high‑energy law firm. The successful candidate will specialize in insurance defense and will possess a proven track record in premises liability, construction, and trucking. This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a team of seasoned professionals and handle a diverse caseload.
BasePay Range
$ – $ per year.
Responsibilities- Represent clients in all stages of litigation, including the preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and draft detailed legal memoranda, motions, and briefs.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on matters related to premises liability, construction, and trucking.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Develop case strategies based on the analysis of evidence and legal principles.
- Participate in trials, present evidence, and make closing arguments.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal developments in insurance defense law.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a consistent and effective approach to case management.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California and Arizona.
- 1–5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on premises liability, construction, and trucking.
- Exceptional negotiation, research, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
