Interactive Director

Interactive projects are comprised of three stages to project delivery, including brand content strategy, design and development. As an Interactive Director you will work across teams to ensure that Interactive projects are executed as planned and are met with client satisfaction. The Interactive Director acts in a director capacity and is pivotal on the website build and website maintenance and technical support departments at Storm Brain, a web design and development agency.

This specialist role is responsible for managing and supporting Shopify, Word Press and Woo Commerce website projects while ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and engagement throughout the project lifecycle. In the case of a brand project build, a client is engaged in a one‑time project basis and Storm Brain is implementing content strategy, high fidelity UI/UX design and development implementation. The Interactive Director is working across teams to ensure success on these projects.

The agency also provides ongoing digital platform support services where websites are maintained and updated on an ongoing basis, and the role of the Interactive Director will address ongoing maintenance requests and process their tasks across teams (development and other production team members) to ensure satisfactory competition.

The Interactive Director oversees the management function of internal teams, excels at managing complex projects, advocates for multi-disciplinary creative output and is a champion for the client project experience. The Interactive Director will work with agency leadership to define, plan, execute, and implement ongoing refinement of integrated operation practices across all agency production teams.

• Task design teams with any design‑related function for website UI/UX design updates
• Quality assurance review of all design assets based on client requests and ensure accuracy in the client deliverables.
• Make website changes on the back end to Word Press, Woo Commerce, and Shopify websites. Must have experience with Shopify and Word Press backend and have working knowledge of how to make technical website edits without any additional training.
• Update hosting and domain management environments, and how to migrate websites and make changes in any hosting environments.
• Oversee development and maintenance of Word Press, Woo Commerce, and Shopify websites to meet clients' needs.
• Oversee front‑end development teams and review all work for quality assurance.
• Q/A design and development projects for accuracy.
• Implement and customize themes, plugins, and e‑commerce solutions.
• Ensure websites are optimized for performance, security, and responsiveness.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their goals, requirements, and feedback.
• Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, informing them of project progress and timelines.
• Collaborate with clients to gather content, feedback, and approvals.
• Possess strong communication skills to work with internal teams and present to clients
• Work with clients directly, alongside account management teams to review client vision and goals from a design/look/feel/creative standpoint for all projects.
• Building out visual ideas after strategy meetings to prepare for the design phase of any design related function within a project.
• Conduct industry and competitive research to prepare projects for design phases, this creative visual strategy work can be done alongside the Account Management teams and Creative Director.
• Building out visual ideas via storyboards, mocks, etc, and creating mood boards that distill or expand on the visual tone of a brand in preparation for project design phases.
