Functional Business Analyst (Fully Onsite)
Location:
Carlsbad, CA 92011
Length: 12 month contract (potential extension)
OverviewWe are seeking a Functional Business Analyst to join our Global Operations team in Carlsbad, CA. This role will support Distribution, Warehouse, and Logistics business functions and associated systems, including Level 2 support for enterprise platforms such as Manhattan WMOS (2010 & 2018), Oracle Enterprise One (E1), SAP, BAAN, and Precision/TRAX-TMS.
The Business Analyst will also support key strategic initiatives including Logistics Control Tower implementations, machine automation integrations, transportation projects, Power BI reporting, and network upgrade initiatives.
Responsibilities Requirements Gathering, Design & Development- Gather and analyze business requirements to develop BRDs, FRDs, and SRS documentation through stakeholder workshops and working sessions.
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Document business use cases, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and support solution validation.
- Design system solutions aligned with business requirements and IT architecture standards.
- Develop detailed functional designs including data models, process flows, and system interface documentation.
- Partner with system analysts, architects, internal development teams, and vendors to coordinate solution delivery.
- Provide Level 2 production support, including incident resolution and break/fix management.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures using:
- Oracle PL/SQL
- MS SQL Server Management Studio
- Maintain test scripts and database SQL scripts for defect retesting and ongoing system validation.
- Monitor system performance and support regular maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst supporting Manhattan WMOS (2010 & 2018).
- 3+ years experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
- 2+ years experience supporting Pick, Pack, Ship (PPS) processes.
- 1+ year experience building reports using Power BI.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise One (E1) or similar ERP systems.
- Strong experience supporting Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, and Order Management systems.
- Experience writing stored procedures and database scripts in MS SQL Server and Oracle environments.
