The Functional Business Analyst will support global Distribution, Warehouse, and Logistics functions, including Level 2 system support for Manhattan WMOS, Enterprise E1 ERP, SAP, BAAN, and Precision/TRAX-TMS.
The role also contributes to project initiatives such as Logistics Control Tower, machine automation, transportation projects, Power BI reporting, network upgrades, and related operational enhancements.
The analyst will gather requirements, design system solutions, support ongoing maintenance, and provide training and documentation to ensure efficient system operations.
Key Responsibilities- Gather business requirements through stakeholder workshops and create deliverables such as BRDs, FRDs, and SRS documents.
- Act as liaison between business users and technical teams for system upgrades, enhancements, use case documentation, and user acceptance testing.
- Design system solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to IT architecture standards.
- Develop detailed design documentation, including data models, process flows, and system interface specifications.
- Collaborate with system analysts, architects, vendors, and internal development teams on technical solutions and development coordination.
- Provide L2 incident support, break/fix resolutions, and production support for warehouse, logistics, and distribution systems.
- Conduct Functional, Regression, Integration, and User Acceptance testing to ensure system reliability and business alignment.
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures using MS SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle PL/SQL.
- Maintain database scripts for test data preparation and defect retesting.
- Monitor system performance and perform scheduled maintenance activities.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and technical staff on new systems and enhancements.
- Develop documentation, training materials, and user guides to support system adoption and knowledge transfer.
- 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience supporting Manhattan WMOS (2010 and 2018).
- 2–3 years of experience with Oracle Enterprise E1 ERP.
- 2–3 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server Management Studio, including stored procedure and trigger development.
- 2–3 years of experience with warehouse, transportation, and order management systems supporting Pick-Pack-Ship operations; experience with QAD Precision/Trax preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience with integration technologies such as XML, web Methods, or Oracle Fusion Middleware.
- 1–2 years of experience with reporting tools including IBM Cognos or Power BI.
- 1–2 years of experience working with machine automation systems such as conveyors, print-and-apply applicators, weigh scales, and case sealers.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to support multiple systems, troubleshoot issues, and propose practical solutions.
- Experience supporting logistics, warehouse automation, or transportation environments.
- Experience building or supporting Power BI reports.
- Familiarity with logistics control tower systems or automation-driven operations.
