Job DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Podiatry Biller with strong experience in podiatry billing who can manage billing operations for customers and also advise our team on how to improve billing and coding workflows inside our software. The ideal candidate will be proactive, capable of finding creative solutions, and passionate about contributing to the success of our innovative product.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the billing cycle, including claims submission, payment posting, and AR follow-up
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies
- Resolve clearinghouse rejections and resubmit promptly
- Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims; work aging AR and protect against timely filing risk
- Identify and resolve coding/billing issues to maximize reimbursement (CPT, ICD-10, modifiers)
- Manage denials/corrections, including documentation requests and appeals as needed
- Collaborate with podiatrists and their staff to resolve billing issues/discrepancies
- Advise on product improvement by providing feedback to the development team to enhance billing and coding features based on real-world experience
- Stay informed on trends and best practices in podiatry billing and coding
- 2+ years of medical billing/RCM experience required
- Podiatry billing experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and reimbursement processes
- Familiarity with EMR and practice management systems
- Resourceful, solution-oriented, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Billing/coding certification is a plus but not required
- Full-time, hybrid role based out of Carlsbad, California
- Expected to work onsite part of the week, with flexibility for remote work
- US business hours required - Compensation of $50,000 to $70,000 plus equity and benefits
