Mechanical Engineer

Position: MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Candidates will have experience in the mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing) design of major projects with a thorough knowledge of industry standard design practices and codes. High rise experience is desired for this is a rapidly growing forensic investigation market.

Specifically, candidate shall have experience designing systems connecting to building systems such as condenser water, chilled water, hot water, steam and is able to perform existing system analysis, due diligence of existing systems, conceptualize the design and develop system options, perform field surveys for the design of HVAC systems, perform air cooled and water-cooled unit selection and layout, perform ductwork and piping design and perform life cycle cost analysis.

Additionally, candidates will have in-depth experience in the design and production of construction documents for waste/vent, water and gas piping systems, as well as the design of plumbing plans for domestic water, sanitary and waste vent systems.

Appropriate candidates will have experience in advanced HVAC/Plumbing analysis and the ability to develop, analyze, and evaluate detailed construction documents, drawings, and/or specifications. Candidates should demonstrate creative thinking in order to resolve complex structural design problems. Additionally, candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have a collaborative and team-oriented attitude.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* In-depth knowledge and experience in the preparation of HVAC and plumbing details, manufacturer requirements, and building codes.

* Experience in supporting the construction administration phase of the project and preparing engineering reports.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* PE license required.

* High rise experience desired.

* Willing to travel within the State, with potential for regional travel.
