The Mechanical Engineer IV provides mechanical engineering expertise for complex electromechanical systems. They coordinate project design and analyze complex construction problems.

• Develop comprehensive mechanical designs with a functional understanding of the other engineering disciplines' responsibilities.
• Provide technical support to project teams as required from initial design to production.
• Perform advanced analyses (thermal, structural, and tolerance) without guidance.
• Develop mechanical designs for new products, fabrication fixturing, and test fixturing.
• Create and review engineering documentation packages.
• Mentor MEIII employees by providing training on job junctions, reviewing work, and providing overall project guidance.
• Provide inputs to engineering design reviews including calculations, analyses, drawings, etc., to show compliance to specifications and project objectives and standards.
• Interact with customers and vendors as necessary based on project scope; make presentations to communicate engineering findings.

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline
  • OR (12) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
  • OR (6) years of experience may be considered with a Master's Degree, or (3) years of experience may be considered with a PhD.
• Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
• Experience in the design of electronic or electromechanical products.
• CAD Software (Solid Works preferred).
• FEA Analysis (Solid Works and ANSYS preferred).
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance.

• This position requires access to technology, materials, software, or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, you must be able to obtain a U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
