We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support our regional finance operations across the EU and APAC. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with payroll and AR accounting, supporting month-end close, and contributing to reporting and compliance activities. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting, enjoys working with international teams, and is eager to grow by taking on diverse responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• General Ledger & Reconciliation
• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy across multiple entities.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances in a timely manner.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments.

• Payroll Accounting
• Post payroll journal entries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts (salaries, bonuses, benefits, with holdings) across entities.
• Verify payroll postings against HR/payroll system outputs to ensure data accuracy.

• Regional Accounting & Compliance
• Maintain accurate financial records for entities in the EU and APAC regions.
• Support Accounting Manager to ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Assist with VAT/GST filings, EC Sales Lists, and perform VAT account reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and reconciliations.

• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Post customer payments and reconcile AR sub-ledgers.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and support aging analysis.
• Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing AR reports and reconciliations for regional entities.

• Reporting & Analysis
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data consolidation.
• Assist on providing ad-hoc accounting-related reports to different teams as requested.

• Process Improvement & Systems
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting, AR, and payroll processes across regions.
• Maintain documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational or regional environment (EU/APAC exposure is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/local GAAP) and month-end close processes.
• Experience with payroll accounting and reconciliations; familiarity with VAT/GST processes is an advantage.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential with an emphasis on building new spreadsheets, analyzing large data sets and using advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF() statements
• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems, preferably Net Suite
