Mobile Mechanic

Overview

As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.

• Provide maintenance, diagnostics and repair services on light vehicles at customer locations.
• Manage stock and complete reporting; maintain clear, proactive communication with customers.
• Represent the RAC with professionalism during every driveway visit and interaction.
• Operate within 40-hour week, with core hours 8:30am–5:00pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years  hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30am–5pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
• Competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings up to £50,000.
• A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
• Optional overtime after your first month: work extra rest days at £30 per hour; potential additional earnings of £3,000–£5,000 per year depending on extra days chosen.
• Tools, RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit provided from day one.
