Role Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, upbeat, and ambitious B2B Utility Sales Consultant to oversee the end-to-end sales journey for electricity, gas, and utility services for SME business owners across the UK.
You must have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service (phone, email, and in-person), while consistently achieving individual and team sales targets.
Responsibilities- Responsible for new client relationship development, including direct sales of B2B utility services (Electricity, Gas, Water)
- Manage and grow your own network resulting in a robust portfolio of SME clients
- Assess customer requirements and recommend the most suitable supplier contracts with justification
- Promote carbon-neutral and low‑carbon utility contracts and clearly explain the peripheral benefits
- Oversee the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract completion
- Ensure personal sales targets are consistently achieved – plus contribute to team target achievement
- Deliver an unwavering, personal customer experience at all times
- Liaise with the Customer Happiness Team to ensure post‑sale processes run efficiently
- Represent Go Low Carbon at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, and marketing activities
- Previous B2B sales experience (utility brokerage experience preferred but not essential)
- Confident telephone and email manner with strong negotiation skills
- Target‑driven mindset with a proven ability to close deals
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Basic IT skills (CRM systems, email, Microsoft Office)
- Understanding of UK business utilities (desirable but training provided)
- Professional, ethical, and customer‑focused approach
- Dynamic, self‑motivated, and proactive
- Ambitious with a desire for personal growth and career progression
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in an organised manner
- A supportive environment with a clear personal development plan
- A dedicated Utility Brokering support team managing post‑sale administration, allowing you to focus on selling
- A mix of self‑generated leads and warm leads from partner networks, digital marketing, exhibitions, networking events, and cold calling
