CRA Consulting is proud to be working in partnership with a progressive and ambitious regional law firm in the heart of Carlisle. We are seeking a Senior Associate or Head of Conveyancing who is ready to take ownership of a high-performing team and step into a strategic leadership role across two key office locations. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer to move into a visible leadership position while still maintaining a high-quality personal caseload.

• Run a caseload of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, including new builds and shared ownership transactions
• Oversee operational performance across the conveyancing teams, ensuring compliance with SLAs, KPIs and regulatory standards
• Act as the main point of contact for complex matters and high-value clients
• Lead on file reviews, mentor junior staff and support training and development
• Drive best practices in risk, compliance and client service delivery
• Work closely with senior management to shape departmental strategy and innovation

• 5+ years' experience in residential conveyancing (senior fee earners through to department leads considered)
• Proven track record handling leasehold, new build, help-to-buy and shared ownership work
• A leadership mindset - with a genuine interest in coaching, mentoring, and improving systems
• Strong working knowledge of case management systems and digital workflows
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain calm under pressure
