The Role
As a Team Leader, you will inspire, manage, and support a team of people to achieve contractual targets and deliver high-quality services. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with quality standards, supporting staff development, and driving performance improvements. You will also deputise for managers when required and contribute to the growth of the charity.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Lead, motivate, and support staff to achieve targets and maintain professional standards.
- Oversee resource allocation and manage staff rotas for efficient service delivery.
- Provide supervision, line management, and ongoing coaching to team members.
- Identify and address staff training and development needs.
- Conduct appraisals and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with charity policies, procedures, and quality assurance systems, including safeguarding and health & safety.
- Drive performance and implement improvement plans where necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording using CRM systems and contractual paperwork.
- Prepare for and participate in external audits and assessments.
- Build and maintain relationships with partner organisations and employers.
- Work with central support functions to ensure financial and operational compliance.
You will bring:
- A minimum Level 4 professional qualification and supervisory or management qualification (Level 6 or Degree level desirable)
- Proven experience in supervising and managing staff, resources, and service delivery
- A successful track record in IPS, employability, careers guidance, or related fields
- Experience in managing people and performance to achieve targets, including managing underperformance
- Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills
- Excellent administrative, report writing, and IT skills
- A customer‑focused, solution‑oriented, and adaptable approach
