Trainee Engineer

Due to business growth, we’re looking for a Trainee Engineer to join our busy and friendly team at Lloyd Ltd Carlisle.

Are you keen to start your engineering career in the agricultural machinery sector? Do you have a passion for learning about and working on self‑propelled forage harvesters and combine harvesters? • Assisting experienced engineers with routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on self‑propelled forage harvesters, combine harvesters, and other agricultural machinery.
• Supporting workshop and field‑based work to ensure our customers’ machinery is running at its best.
• Learning to diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
• Gaining hands‑on experience in customer service and developing strong working relationships.
• Completing all relevant administration, including warranty paperwork and job cards.

• Has an interest in agricultural machinery and a willingness to learn.
• Is enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to work as part of a team.
• Can manage time effectively and work safely under supervision.
• Is IT literate and comfortable learning internal systems.
• Communicates clearly and professionally.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.

Based at Lloyd Ltd Carlisle (Kingstown Broadway, Kingstown Industrial Estate, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA3 0EF
).

40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with additional overtime available.
