Recruitment Consultant at Futures | Engineering / Production and Technical Specialist!A well-established manufacturing business based in Carlisle is currently looking to appoint a Calibration Engineer to support ongoing operational excellence and quality assurance across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Calibration Engineer with a strong background in instrumentation and measurement systems to join a stable, forward-thinking organisation operating within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out calibration of instrumentation and measurement equipment across site
- Maintaining and updating calibration schedules, records, and documentation
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting instrumentation and control devices
- Supporting instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- Ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Liaising with external calibration service providers where required
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability and accuracy
- Working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Calibration Engineer or Instrumentation Engineer
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, calibration systems, and measurement standards
- Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or regulated environment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and calibration procedures
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Relevant engineering or instrumentation qualifications (Ideally Electrical)
