Role Overview
A respected further education provider in Carlisle is seeking a confident and adaptable English Teacher to deliver GCSE English to post-16 learners. This full-time, short-term role is ideal for someone with recent classroom experience who is keen to make an impact in a structured and supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned GCSE English sessions to a diverse student cohort
Develop lesson plans and resources to support differentiated learning
Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback
Maintain accurate records of attendance and assessments
Contribute positively to student engagement, retention, and achievement Person Specification
To be considered, you will need:

Recent experience teaching GCSE English in either a secondary school or further education college
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Confidence in adapting materials to suit individual learner needs
A proactive, student-focused teaching approach
