Learning Support Worker

Role Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality support to learners with additional needs. You will work closely with teaching staff and support services to ensure that students can access learning and achieve their full potential.

• In class support for learners with EHCPs, this would include note taking, prompting, assisting students with classroom tasks to access teaching, learning and assessment.
• Creating / adapting / using a range of resources and strategies to meet learners' needs including e-resources, assistive technology and adapted equipment.
• Supervising learners on arrival at college, during lunchtimes and breaks and ensuring they leave the premises with due care as required.
• Supporting learners off-site in learning and travelling contexts e.g. trips, travel training, work placements.
• Keeping records of learner needs, progress and the achievement of learning targets.
