Position: Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) in Southern Pennsylvania
Join a top healthcare facility in South-Central Pennsylvania as a Medical Laboratory Scientist for permanent, direct hire!

Shift: Full-Time, Day hours

Type: Permanent/Direct Hire

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team. The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform a variety of complex laboratory procedures and analyses to assist in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, and blood banking
  • Analyzing and interpreting laboratory test results
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Ensuring compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, etc.)
  • Participating in quality control and quality assurance activities
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to interpret patient data and contribute to patient care decisions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
  • ASCP certification (or equivalent) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques across various disciplines
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and proficiency in using computerized instruments and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with healthcare providers and patients
