We’re hiring:
Quantity Surveyor (Full-time) | Ceredigion / West Wales

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work across a range of projects including residential developments, social housing, commercial schemes, refurbishments, and civil engineering works.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic main contractor delivering projects across West Wales, working closely with Directors, Project Managers, Clients, Consultants, and Supply Chain partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing all commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account
  • Preparation and review of Bills of Quantities, cost plans, and tender documentation
  • Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and appointment
  • Valuation of works (including interim applications, variations, and final accounts)
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Management of subcontractor payments and variations
  • Preparation and submission of valuations to clients
  • Risk management and value engineering
  • Contract administration (JCT Design & Build, Intermediate, etc.)
  • Attending site and client meetings
  • Maintaining strong supply chain relationships
Experience & Qualifications Required
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience with a main contractor
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Experience working on Design & Build projects
  • Experience in residential and commercial construction projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost reporting systems
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
  • RICS accreditation (or working towards)
  • Knowledge of Welsh public sector frameworks
