Overview
Our Junior Sport Athletics Casual Coach is a key team member for the Junior Sport / Sport Systems team, and associated areas of Cardiff Met Sport. They assist with the delivery of the Athletics Junior sports programme (Cardiff Met Junior Athletics Club) and ensure that the needs of participants are met.
Responsibilities- Assist the Lead Coaches of Athletics and wider Cardiff Met Junior Sport team in the delivery of high-quality Athletics coaching.
- Support participants/athletes in their development of all elements of Athletics across a range of age groups and development levels.
- Assist in teaching and refining Athletics skills for Run, Jump, and Throw.
- Collaborate with the Lead Coach to develop and refine training programmes, offering feedback on what is working well and what could be improved.
- Experience coaching and working within a sport coaching environment with an understanding of customer care to provide an outstanding service to Athletics participants.
- Knowledge of industry standards and national governing body policies to ensure programmes are safe and of high standard.
- Level 1 Coach Qualification (or above) in athletics.
- Superb team working skills, able to work effectively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for participants.
- Experience working with customers and parents.
