Casual Coach – Basketball

Our Junior Sport Basketball Casual Coach is a key team member for Junior Sport / Sport Systems team, and associated areas of Cardiff Met Sport. They assist with the delivery of the Basketball Junior sports programme (Archers Basketball) and ensure that the needs of participants are met.

You’ll Lead The Way By

• Assisting the Lead Coaches of Basketball and wider Cardiff Met Junior Sport team in the delivery of high-quality Basketball coaching.
• Supporting our participants / athletes in their development of all elements of Basketball, across a range of age groups.
• Assist in teaching and refining of Basketball skills for various games (e.g., dribbling, shooting, defence).
• Collaborate with the Lead Coach to develop and refine training programmes, offering feedback on what is working well and what could be improved.

• Level 1 coaching qualification (or above) in Basketball.
• Superb team working skills, able to work effectively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for participants.
• Experience working with customers and parents.
