Are you an experienced and dynamic practitioner who has direct experience of working with young people on a 1:1 basis, preferably within a supported accommodation setting and wants to work for a council that is rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
Then the accommodation service within Residential Services would like to hear from you, as an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team on a temporary basis as maternity cover for the existing post holder, starting at the beginning of June 2026
You will play a key role in ensuring young people are supported to achieve their goals and transition into suitable and appropriate accommodation.
You will work collaboratively with other services and young people to complete assessments, tenancy outcome stars and contribute to pathway plans that are reflective of their goals and aspirations, as well as providing 1:1 support to young people in supported tenancies.
You will hold an NVQ level 3 in Social Care or equivalent qualification. You will have direct work experience of supporting children and young people with a range of issues including housing, health, education, training, employment, finances, emotional well-being and skills for independence.
In return, you will be part of a creative, enthusiastic and dynamic service that works alongside services such as the Risk Outside of The Home Team, the 14+/18+ Team, Locality Children Services Teams and the Youth Justice Service.
As a Service, we will provide you with excellent support and supervision together with genuine opportunities for personal development.
