Position: INFORMATION REQUEST CASE OFFICER

Temporary Maternity Cover - Children’s Services Court Support Team.

This temporary key position comes with the responsibility of supporting the delivery of sensitive, redacted disclosures within set deadlines to various services areas and external agencies. Please note that you will be required to read and redact a high volume (approximately 150 pages a day) of very sensitive material.

About the job

As an Information Request Case Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a caseload of requests to be disclosed within set deadlines.
  • Gathering data, analysing and making decisions on the disclosure.
  • Data redaction.
  • Supporting various service areas working towards the agreed objectives and activity levels.
What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidate must have positive attitude and be able to meet the delivery goals as part of a fast-paced team within Children’s Services. They will have excellent organisation and communication skills plus the ability to gather, analyse and redact data. They must be able to empathise with sensitive circumstances and offer accurate, meaningful support to team members, various service areas and external agencies.

This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.

Requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools-based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
