Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: M5 Corridor – Bristol / South Wales
Salary: £35,000 - £48,000 + Benefits

We are a well-established fire safety company and part of a national network delivering life safety solutions across the UK. With around 70 employees, we operate nationally and hold key industry accreditations: NSI Gold, BAFE, and Construction line.

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing service and installation team. You will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and fault-finding fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties.
This role suits a proactive engineer with strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities- Install, service, maintain, and diagnose faults on fire alarm systems
- Work with systems from manufacturers including Gent, Advanced, Kentec, and C-TEC
- Ensure all work meets British Standards and company procedures
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and internal teams
- Participate in call-outs and overtime when required
- Care homes
- Data centres
- Distribution centres
- Education facilities
- Facilities management contracts
- Healthcare environments
- Hospitality and hotels
- Retail sites
- Social housing
Work will primarily cover North Bristol, South Wales, and the M5 corridor up to Gloucester and Chippenham, with job allocation based on your location.
Working Hours- Monday to Friday
- 40-hour working week
- 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Paid at time and a half for hours over 40 per week
- Flexible overtime available based on workload
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and British Standards
- Experience in both commercial and residential environments
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Full UK driving licence
