Customer Service Assistant (Temporary – 10 Weeks) – Cardiff Garden Centre

We are recruiting for a Temporary Customer Service Assistant (10-week contract) to join our team at Cardiff Garden Centre
, part of the Blue Diamond Group
.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with varied duties across the centre and will involve regular manual handling
. We’re looking for someone reliable, practical, and happy to support the team during this busy period.

Position: Customer Service Assistant (
Temporary – 10 Weeks
)
Location: Cardiff Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group
Hours: 14 hours per week – 6 hours on Sunday and 8 hours on Monday

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing friendly and helpful customer service
• Assisting customers with purchases, including lifting and carrying items
• Replenishing stock and maintaining clean, tidy, and safe shop floors
• Supporting deliveries and moving stock (manual handling required)
• Operating tills and handling transactions accurately
• Supporting colleagues across departments as needed

• Comfortable with physical work and regular manual handling
• Reliable and able to commit to a 10-week temporary contract
• Available to work Sundays and Mondays
