An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Rheumatology Day Unit at the University Hospital of Wales.
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate nurse to become part of our dedicated team, delivering high-quality care to patients receiving specialist treatment for a range of rheumatological conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer biologic infusions, intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (S/C) medications
- Provide support and clinical advice to patients via the Rheumatology Advice Line
- Deliver care with a focus on safety, dignity, and a person‑centred approach
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and excellence in care
The day unit is based in UHW with seven infusion chairs with the aim of expansion in the future.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

Person Specification Education and Qualifications- Current registration with the NMC
- Good basic level of English demonstrated through written skills on application form.
- Understanding of professional nursing issues
- Ability to practice within the scope of the NMC code of professional conduct
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to use initiative
- Awareness of audit and research
- Well completed application form with evidence of enthusiasm for nursing.
