Contract: 18 month FTC, 28hrs per week (4 days equivalent)

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Community Fundraiser working for a leading UK medical research and support charity making life saving breakthroughs and supporting people affected by cancer across the UK. This is an exciting time to join as the organisation strengthens its community presence in Wales and invests in ambitious income growth plans.
This is a new role and offers an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser looking to develop their career, take ownership of a regional portfolio, and play a key role in a high profile national partnership. You’ll enjoy hybrid working, autonomy, and the chance to shape the charity’s local presence across South Wales.
As part of this exciting role, you will develop and grow a portfolio of community supporters across Wales, building new relationships with individuals, groups, clubs and local companies. You will also dedicate around 50% of your time to supporting a large national corporate partnership, working closely with local stores in your region to engage colleagues, increase fundraising activity, and champion the partnership on the ground.
No two days will be the same as you travel across the region, inspire supporters, and help grow vital income to support the charity’s mission.
- Develop and grow a portfolio of community supporters across Wales, building new relationships with individuals, groups, clubs and local companies.
- Support a large national corporate partnership by engaging local stores, increasing fundraising activity, and championing the partnership on the ground (approximately 50% of role).
- Travel across the region to engage supporters, inspire action, and grow income to support the charity’s mission.
- Experience of developing new relationships from scratch and achieving income targets
- Excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills
Desirable:
Welsh language skills.
