Salary: £61,127 – £66,000
Contract: Two year fixed term (April 2026 – May 2028)
Location: Cardiff, with hybrid working (2-3 days in office)

100 Philanthropy Lead
, joining at a pivotal moment as National Museum Cardiff moves towards its centenary in 2027. This once‑in‑a‑generation redevelopment will transform one of the UK’s most significant museums, creating a vibrant, modern, sustainable cultural destination for the next 100 years.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior philanthropy specialist to shape and deliver a high‑value fundraising programme of national and international significance. You will join a collaborative, ambitious external relations and funding team and play a central role in securing major gifts from individuals, trusts, foundations and global partners to bring this transformational capital project to life.
Qualifications- Significant experience securing six‑ and seven‑figure donations for major capital or transformational programmes.
- Strong track record in cultivating and stewarding high‑value relationships, including major donors, philanthropists and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills, with the ability to bring a vision to life through compelling storytelling.
- Strong understanding of the philanthropy landscape across Wales, the UK and internationally.
