Advanced Therapies Research Project ManagerThe closing date is 16 March 2026
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Cardiff JRO R&D team to lead on the coordination and management of Research into advanced therapies at Cardiff and Vale UHB. You will cooperate with stakeholders and drive service redesign to create streamlined processes with robust oversight for the Cardiff and Vale UHB research community. This is a 2 year fixed term/secondment opportunity.
Mainduties of the job
Supporting and delivering the advanced therapies portfolio in a coordinated manner across Cardiff and Vale UHB, whilst also linking in with Health Care Research Wales, Advanced therapies Wales and national advanced therapies networks.
Flexibility and good communication are needed to ensure the needs of the research community are met and the benefits of the system are effectively understood.
The confidence to challenge existing ways of working is key to bringing about service improvement and improving systems and services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant management qualification. Post grad diploma or equivalent experience & evidence of CPD in NHS
- Experience of working in the NHS
- Experience of research pathways
- Experience of Advanced therapies Research
- Ability to work closely with people in other disciplines and form professional relationships
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- IT or related database experience
- K&U of wider political and social drivers/modernisation agenda
- Understanding of KSF
