Who are we?

Tay Rivers Trust (TRT) are a charitable organisation dedicated to the protection, restoration and understanding of our riparian environment. Our vision is simple but ambitious: a Catchment that is among the best possible river habitats in the UK, where nature thrives and where people of all ages are inspired to understand, value and care for their river.

We deliver this vision through scientifically based interventions, education, and collaboration with landowners, communities and partner organisations. Recent projects include nature‑based flood management across the Eden Catchment and innovative work to secure safe fish passage during low‑flow conditions. We are now working with landowners on one of the most ambitious riparian planting programmes in the UK.

This is a pivotal moment in our journey. The Trust is entering a period of growth and increasing influence, and we are seeking an exceptional individual to help guide that next chapter.
