We are looking to recruit our next trainee solicitor to commence their training contract in March 2026. The Final date to receive applications is 15 February 2026.
You may apply for our training contract if you hold or are studying towards either the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).
- LPC candidates must already hold the LPC, completed and passed at Commendation level or above (or equivalent).
- SQE candidates must have successfully passed both SQE1 and SQE
2.
Please note that even where an applicant has passed SQE1 and SQE2 and/or already completed two years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE), all successful candidates will be required to complete Lux Family Law’s full two-year training contract.
Our training contract will provide you with excellent training and experience. Trainees will have the opportunity to work on a range of private law family matters including divorce, financial remedies, private law children (including relocation) and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements. As a trainee you’ll be working with our experienced and exceptional lawyers. Lux Family Law practices at the highest level to include complex and multijurisdictional high net worth finance work.
We like our trainees to progress quickly and to take part in networking and client development activities.
Trainees will be client facing from the outset and will be drafting correspondence, briefs to counsel, divorce applications, Forms E and consent orders from early on in their training. This training contract includes both work in contentious and non-contentious areas. With regards to litigation, trainees will be directly involved in cases from day one, including attending client meetings, conferences with counsel and court hearings.
- A 2.1 law degree (or equivalent)
- Strong academic record
- LPC completed at Commendation level or above, or successful completion of SQE1 and SQE2
- Demonstrable interest in family law
Previous legal experience is encouraged but is not an absolute requirement.
