About The Role
We’re looking for an Employment Associate or Senior Associate with a non‑contentious focus to join one of the largest teams of employment and immigration lawyers in Wales. In addition to providing day‑to‑day advice to established clients, you will work as part of a sub‑team of ten lawyers supporting our Corporate & Private Equity team on the employment aspects of corporate transactions and restructures and will advise on TUPE and senior exits.
You will also coach and mentor junior lawyers within the Employment and Immigration team, contributing to their training.
- Minimum of 4 years post‑qualification experience.
- Substantial experience of corporate support.
- Either experience of, or an interest in advising on TUPE and senior exits.
- An understanding of the importance of client relationships and experience of creating or strengthening them.
- Technical competence and commercial awareness.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with clear written presentation.
- Effective organisational skills with good time management, initiative, and problem‑solving ability.
- The ability to work collaboratively with others, as part of a large team and a smaller sub‑team, but also the confidence to work independently.
- Experience of or an interest in participating in business development opportunities arising from corporate support work.
- An interest in line management and mentorship of colleagues in the team.
- A willingness to travel regularly to Cardiff and occasionally to London, to visit clients and colleagues.
