The International Baccalaureate (IB) is undergoing a major digital transformation to reshape its digital ecosystem and enable our global learning community to thrive in the age of AI. This role plays a critical part in ensuring IB’s digital transformation strategy is translated into disciplined execution across the organization.

As Head of Digital Portfolio, you will play a pivotal leadership role at the heart of this transformation. Operating at the intersection of strategy, execution, and communication, you will ensure alignment, momentum, and impact across the full digital portfolio of the Digital & Data Office (approximately 200 people). You will act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Digital & Data Officer (CDDO) and serve as a member of the Digital & Data Office Senior Leadership Team.

This role requires strong digital transformation expertise, outstanding problem solving skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.

• Translate digital strategy into clear execution plans with priorities, owners, timelines, and checkpoints
• Oversee and manage the endtoend digital portfolio, ensuring alignment, value delivery, and return on investment
• Lead the effective deployment of a $40M+ technology budget
• Drive the implementation of the Digital Transformation program and the new Technology Delivery Operating Model
• Support the Digital & Data senior leadership team by sharpening strategic focus and enabling effective decision making
• Design and deliver high quality executive and board level communications
• Act as a problem solver for complex, cross functional and “orphaned” challenges
• Own the operating rhythm of the Digital & Data Office, ensuring pace, alignment, and followthrough
• Build and champion a strong digital culture across the department and the wider organization
• Lead, coach, and develop team members within the CDDO Office using a servant leadership approach

You are a credible, empathetic, and highly effective leader who thrives in complex environments and can influence without formal authority. You combine strategic thinking with operational excellence and communicate with clarity at the most senior levels.

You bring:

• 10–15 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or digital transformation environments
• Proven, hands‑on experience leading endtoend digital transformation initiatives
• Strong analytical and creative problemolving capabilities
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, large‑scale budgets and portfolios
• Experience building, leading, and developing high‑performing teams
• A solid understanding of digital product development and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent executive‑level written and verbal communication skills
• A strong interest in international education and educational technology
